Nurturing Peacemakers Retreat

You are invited to participate in the May 16-18, Nurturing Peacemakers Retreat at Camp Friedenswald , Cassopolis, Michigan . Sponsored by the Central District Conference of Mennonite Church USA with the support of Mennonite Central Committee Great Lakes, this retreat is designed to be a time of renewal for folks working for peace. The retreat will be led from an Anabaptist-Mennonite background but is open to people of other traditions and backgrounds. We especially encourage congregations and local communities to sponsor a member to attend this retreat, which will consist of Christian worship, reflection and renewal. David Rensberger, of Atlanta Mennonite Fellowship in Atlanta, GA , will be the resource person for the retreat. David brings to us a focus on prayer as the ground of peacemaking through silence, Biblical reflection and discussion. Wendy Chappell-Dick of Mennofolk will lead music-making. The beautiful wooded grounds of Camp Friedenswald in southern Michigan will provide the setting.

Call 1.800.662.2264 if you have questions. The suggested donation for the weekend is $40, although we do not intend this to prevent you from attending if this is not feasible.
